DO YOU WANT TO BE ONE OF US?

The BMG launches the 5th edition of this activity aimed at young musicians aged 11 to 18 who are currently studying music and wish to experience playing alongside others who share their same interests — and who may become future members of the BMG.

How It Works

The project includes 2 full sessions, 5 rehearsals, and 2 concerts on the following dates:

REHEARSAL 1: Friday, December 12 — 17:30 to 19:30
REHEARSAL 2: Friday, January 23 — 17:30 to 19:30
SESSION 1: Saturday, February 7 — 10:30 to 14:00
REHEARSAL 3: Friday, February 20 — 17:30 to 19:30
SESSION 2: Saturday, March 7 — 10:30 to 14:00
REHEARSAL 4: Friday, March 20 — 17:30 to 19:30

CONCERT 1:Saturday, March 21 — 19:00

Auditorium of the Getafe Conservatory
REHEARSAL 5: Friday, April 10 or 17 — 17:30 to 19:30
CONCERT 2: Saturday, April 11 or 18 — Time and venue to be confirmed

Location

All sessions and rehearsals will take place at the headquarters of the Getafe Symphonic Wind Band: Avenida de las Ciudades 37

Activities

Participants will enjoy a variety of musical activities that will allow them to experience collective music‑making and learn to perform within a large ensemble.

Guidance

During the sessions, participants will receive support and guidance from BMG members, who will play alongside them.

Concert

Each session will conclude with the rehearsal of a repertoire adapted to the group’s level, culminating in a final concert.

Requirements and Application Process

To apply for the BMG 1+ program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Be currently studying music at a music school or conservatory.
Complete the application form and attach the required documents within the indicated deadline.
Submit a 3–4 minute video including:
- Where they live
- Where they study and their current level
- Why they would like to play in an ensemble like the BMG
- A short performance so we can hear them play

Applications may be submitted from November 6 to November 26, 2025

The results of the selection process will be communicated from November 28, 2025, by email to each selected participant using the address provided in the application.

We are committed to supporting young musicians through a dynamic and enjoyable activity that builds a strong foundation of future performers who can grow within the BMG and sustain our project over time.

This activity also involves our scholarship members, who contribute to instrumental teaching, making it a complete and essential part of our educational mission and the development of our band.
