How to Join the Getafe Concert Band
The Getafe Concert Band is an open, dynamic ensemble committed to artistic growth and musical development. There are two main ways to join us, depending on your level and stage of training.
1.
Direct Access to the Band (Intermediate–Advanced Level)
If you already have an intermediate or advanced instrumental level —for example, if you study at a Professional or Higher Conservatory, or have equivalent experience— you can apply directly to join the Band.
We recommend first reading our Joining the BMG section in the FAQs.
Then, simply send us an email with your personal details and your instrument. From there, we will begin the evaluation process, which includes a short placement audition and an interview to get to know you better.
Our goal is to ensure that you integrate into the group in the most suitable and comfortable way.
This is the ideal option if you already have experience in symphonic band playing and wish to be part of a stable project with an annual concert season and a high artistic level.
2.
Join the Youth Band BMG1+ (Beginner or Training Level)
If you are starting your musical studies, attend a music school or elementary level, or simply want to get to know us and experience playing in a large ensemble, we invite you to join BMG1+, our project-based youth band.
BMG1+ is organized each season as an ad hoc ensemble for young musicians who want to learn, enjoy, and grow in a collective environment.
The project includes rehearsals, training sessions, and shared concerts with other youth ensembles.
It is the best entry point for those who want to begin symphonic band practice, understand how we work, and develop musical and social skills in a friendly and motivating atmosphere.
